During depression the world disappears. Language itself. One has nothing to say. Nothing. Kristin experienced this misery, yet still managed to touch many lives and even in death continues to help others find help for their depression.
The Kristin Brooks Hope Center was created to help those in crisis find help and hope immediately. The site and her story gives you a raw, personal glimpse into depression, and how it affects those around you. In addition, you will find the only clear, step-by-step path for you to follow out of the darkness. There is hope and you can feel happy again! If you need to speak with someone right now call: 1.800.442.HOPE

KBHC Board of Directors

Richard Rossell - Treasurer of the Kristin Brooks Hope Center

Richard Rossell is the sole sibling of Kristin Brooks Rossell for whom the Hope Center is named in memory of. From the day Reese founded the Hope Center in 1998, Richard has supported the Hope Center from behind the scenes. Through his journey as a graduate of Embry-Riddle University in Daytona FL to his career with Pfizer as a pharmaceutical representative to his current work in the medical field he has been the strongest voice from Kristin's side of the family in making sure the Hope Center fulfills its mission to prevent any more needless suicides like his sisters.

His consistent support and private efforts to help the Hope Center became more public when he joined the Board in 2009. His presence has helped the Hope Center refocus on its core mission while adding it's most successful new program in its 12 year history.

Please Don't Jump

This postcard says:

I have lived in San Francisco since I was young. I am illegal. I am not wanted here. I don't belong anywhere. This summer I plan to jump off the Golden Gate.
